DataStream is an open access platform for sharing water data. Its mission is to promote knowledge sharing and advance collaborative, evidence-based decision-making. DataStream is led by The Gordon Foundation and was developed in close collaboration with partners including the Government of the Northwest Territories.
When DataStream launched in November 2016, more than 20 communities were sharing data on the platform. This is an exciting time in the evolution of DataStream. Moving forward, the vision is to expand DataStream to include data from many more communities.
This position offers an opportunity to take part in scaling up DataStream. The successful candidate will coordinate the full range of DataStream’s day-to-day operations with an emphasis on relationship building and growing DataStream’s network of community-based monitoring organizations.
This position will require regular travel, an ability to work well and engage with people from across Canada, and a working understanding of water science and monitoring.
The successful candidate will be flexible as this position (like DataStream) will continually evolve. Over the course of the year, the candidate will be responsible for a wide range of tasks including coordinating meetings, delivering presentations, maintaining social media, engaging with stakeholders, and continually improving the DataStream site. An energetic, can-do attitude is a must!
Deadline to apply is June 27, 2017!
