Paul is Managing Director at the National Bank, Private Investments, and Senior Partner at its SME Growth Fund L.P.. Prior to this he was Managing Director, Business Development at TorQuest, one of Canada’s largest private equity firms and before that as President of a Montréal-based family office. Earlier in his career he held senior strategy and M&A positions at large public corporations such Bombardier and RTL Group.

Paul has also served on two occasions in the Office of the Prime Minister, first as a policy advisor and then later as Deputy Chief of Staff (Policy).

Paul also sits on the Quebec regional board of the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) as well as the board Canada 2020, a public policy think tank.

He holds a B.C.L. and LL.B. from McGill University’s Faculty of Law and is a graduate of the École Nationale d’Administration (ENA) in France.

He is married (Stéphanie) and has two sons (Liam and Alexandre).
