Ashley Ens is Nihtat Gwich’in born and raised in Inuvik, Northwest Territories. She brings over 13 years of experience in public service and 6 years of operating a consulting business that focused on Indigenous governance projects, community engagement, research, and policy development to her role as Director, Northern Leadership & Modern Treaties at The Gordon Foundation. In addition to her professional work, Ashley has served on various Northern boards and contributed to community-based initiatives that connect governance, land, culture, and intergenerational knowledge.
Ashley holds a Bachelor of Management and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Lethbridge and is currently completing her PhD at the University of Alberta.
