Integrating Traditional Practices into Inuit Mental Wellness Programs
Authors Kluane Adamek, Teevi Mackay, and Mitchell White examine the integration of traditional Inuit practices into Western methods of addressing mental health issues in order to ensure a safe and healthy Inuit population. They examine mental health challenges in Inuit communities, determine how traditional practices can enhance mental wellness programs, recommend actions Inuit communities, territorial governments and the Government of Canada can take to make mental health services more accessible and effective for Inuit.
