Navarana Beveridge

Navarana Beveridge has worked with Inuit organizations in Nunavut for two decades. She has previously worked as an Executive Director and Sr Management with the Qikiqtani Inuit Association helping to build governance around distinctions-based housing solutions for Inuit and helped to project manage the creation of the first Inuit lead education institution the Research Training Centre in Pond Inlet. She was also one of the Inuit negotiators on the Mary River Project IIBA.

A former Jane Glassco Northern Fellow, Navarana maintains a longstanding connection with The Gordon Foundation. Raised in Greenland and based in Nunavut, she speaks Kalaallisut, Danish English and Inuktitut, bringing a circumpolar perspective to her work and has served as Denmark’s honorary consul in Iqaluit utilizing that role to connect people across jurisdictions. As a member of the Foundation’s Board of Directors, she contributes practical Northern insight, a commitment to Inuit participation in decision-making, and a strong interest in building healthy, resilient communities across the North.
