Why We Need a Canadian Arctic University

Teevi Mackay grew up in Iqaluit, Nunavut, and considers it her home. She is a graduate of Carleton University’s School of Journalism and Nunavut Sivuniksavut, and has held positions with the Government of Nunavut, the Government of Canada, and Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami as editor of Inuktitut, Canada’s longest-publishing Inuit language periodical. Her Fellowship research looks at universities based in circumpolar nations to discover how Canada can establish an Arctic university of its own.
