Qarjuit Youth Council and The Gordon Foundation are working together to run a Nunavik Treaty Simulation in Kuujjuaq from October 17 to 20.

The Treaty Simulation will focus on two topics of high importance to Nunavik youth – a new vision of Inuit-led education and mental health. Participants will receive an honorarium for their participation.

For Nunavik youth the Treaty Simulation will be an exciting learning experience that will help build future leadership skills, explain more about how the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement (a modern treaty) is connected to their life and rights, and why they should be knowledgeable about self-determination for Inuit.
