Important Gordon Foundation news

On behalf of The Gordon Foundation’s Board of Directors, I am writing to announce the retirement of Sherry Campbell.

After eight years at the helm of The Gordon Foundation, Sherry will be retiring on May 31, 2024. Sherry has been an inspiring leader and a true force, growing The Gordon Foundation’s programming from coast to coast to coast. It has been my honour to work with Sherry and see her drive impact in a diversity of areas from treaty education and policy hackathons to open access water data.

While we are sad to see Sherry step down, I am delighted to announce the appointment of Carolyn DuBois as President and CEO of The Gordon Foundation.

In her 11 years with the Foundation, Carolyn has embodied the Foundation’s principles and values. From concept to fruition, Carolyn led the development of DataStream which has grown from a small, innovative pilot to a national program benefiting hundreds of organizations and counting. Carolyn is an influential leader both in her management and support of our pan-Canadian staff and more broadly across the Foundation’s growing networks. We are thrilled that Carolyn is taking on this new role with The Gordon Foundation.

Carolyn will assume the position of President and CEO of The Gordon Foundation on June 1, 2024. We look forward to working with Carolyn in this new chapter of the Foundation’s nearly 60-year history of serving communities in Canada.

Paul Corriveau

Chair, The Gordon Foundation
